ALIYAH SCRIPTURES

God Has Made An Everlasting Covenant With Abram

Gen 17:7-8
“And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

Ps 105:8-11
“He remembers His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,
The covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His oath to Isaac,
And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the allotment of your inheritance.”

God Has Not Rejected or Forgotten the Jews

Jer 33:23-26 (NIV)
“The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: “Have you not noticed that these people are saying, ‘The LORD has rejected the two kingdoms he chose’? So they despise my people and no longer regard them as a nation. This is what the LORD says: ‘If I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed laws of heaven and earth, then I will reject the descendants of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his sons to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.’”

Romans 11:1-2, 29. (NIV)
“I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! …God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.”

What God Scatters, He Regathers

Jeremiah 31:10
“Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.’”

God Will Restore and Regather His People to the Land of Israel

Isaiah 43:5-6
“Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your descendants from the east,
And gather you from the west;
I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’
Bring My sons from afar,
And My daughters from the ends of the earth.”

Jer 23:3, 7-8
“But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. “Therefore, behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that they shall no longer say, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘As the LORD lives who brought up and led the descendants of the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell in their own land.”

God Will Do This With All His Heart and Soul

Jeremiah 32:37-41
“Behold, I will gather them out of all countries where I have driven them in My anger, in My fury, and in great wrath; I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely. They shall be My people, and I will be their God; then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.”

The Gentiles Will Help

Isaiah 49:22 (NIV)
“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “See I will beckon to the Gentiles, I will lift up My banner to the peoples; they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders.”

Praise and Proclamation Will Release Them!

Jeremiah 31:7-8
“For thus says the LORD: Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations; Proclaim, give praise and say ‘O LORD save your people, the remnant of Israel! Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the ends of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and the one who labors with child together; a great throng shall return there.”

In the Land, They Will Receive A New Heart

Ezekiel 36:24-28
“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and you will keep my judgements and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people and I will be your God.”

None Will Be Left Behind

Ezekiel 39:28 (NIV)
“Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them back to their own land, not leaving any behind.”.

The Messiah Will Come

Jeremiah 23:3
“But I will gather the remnant of My flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.”

Jeremiah 23:5
“Behold the days are coming” says the LORD, “that I will raise to David a Branch of Righteousness; a King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. In His days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely; now this is His Name by which He will be called: The LORD our Righteousness.”

Gentile Participation — God’s Call to Comfort Israel

Shepherd Staff Ministries (SSM) is teaching and carrying out God’s call to Gentile Believers to comfort God’s people, the Jews. Their website is offering Biblical instruction and a plan of action to answer God’s call.

His Lighthouse Inc would like to thank SSM for allowing us to share their information. To know more about SSM go to: shepherdstaffministries.org

“Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” says your God. Isaiah 40:1

How Do We Comfort Israel and God's People?
The Bible Instructs us to...

  • Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem
  • Watch Over God’s People
  • Minister to them in material things, because we have received from them our spiritual heritage
  • Carry His People Back to Israel (known as Aliyah or Jewish Immigration)
  • Show Mercy
  • Proclaim peace, good things, salvation to the Jews… saying, “Your God Reigns!”
  • Provoke to Jealousy

CALL TO ACTION

  • Pray individually or pray with a friend, start a prayer group in your home or at your church. Any time you pray, tithe your prayer time in praying for Israel and encourage others to do so.

  • Watching over God’s people requires understanding God’s plans and purposes for Israel and the Jewish people as stated in God’s word, the Bible. God has chosen to reveal Himself through a people and a land. If Israel does not remain a nation and if the Jews do not remain in the land, then God’s word is not true.

    • Visit the land of Israel
    • Watch the news
    • Sign up for IFI prayer points at www.ifi.org.il
    • Attend IFI Prayer Conference in January annually.

  • Give financially and materially. We believe it is important to support the believers in the land who are accomplishing God’s work there. One difference with SSM is we support the believers in the land believing it is important for the Jews to see believers blessed and blessing others.

  • Get involve in praying for and supporting Jews returning to the land of Israel. Share why you believe this is what God is doing in bringing back His people to Israel. There are 64 scriptures about this. Consider memorizing a few of them.

  • Show mercy to His people by letting them know you pray for them and believe what God’s word says about them. Support buying their products and speak up when you hear lies about them. Ask God to give you His heart for His people and His land.

  • Proclaim peace — Shalom — which means wholeness or completeness. Pray for the completion of God’s will for Jerusalem (which is ultimately the return of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah — Jesus Christ or Yeshua) Shout and proclaim, “Your God reigns!”

  • We provoke the Jews to jealousy by having what belongs to the Jews: His covenants of promise and blessings. The church has in no way replaced Israel as some believe. Paul talks about the one new man — Jew and Gentile as one, allowing each to worship God as He leads them. Ephesians 2:14-18

JEREMIAH 16

Jeremiah 16:14-15 says,“ However, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when it will no longer be said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but it will be said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ For I will restore them to the land I gave their ancestors.”

The deliverance from Egypt is a central theme all throughout the Bible. The mighty miracles that the Lord did to deliver His people from bondage are remembered every year at Pesach by Jewish families. Remembering as though one of those who were saved from Pharaoh’s hand. For Christians, the Exodus is a picture of what Messiah Jesus has done for us by being the Passover Lamb whose sacrificial blood is on the door of our hearts and His deliverance from a life of sin and bondage. The threads of the Exodus story are woven throughout the whole of scripture. The magnitude of the work of God is one we go back to again and again to remember His great love and faithfulness.

So now these two verses in Jeremiah tell us that there is a day coming when the Exodus from Egypt will no longer be our pivotal point of reference for the Lord’s greatness. There is a day coming and an event happening that will eclipse the first Exodus. It will be so grand and glorious and awesome and horrifying in scope that we will use it as our point of reference.

And what could be so grand as to eclipse the Exodus from Egypt? The future ‘exodus’ from all the points where the Jewish people are now living. The sheer numbers of Jewish people make this a larger event. There are 6 million in the United States alone. What will it take to draw that many Jewish people into the Land who have not taken the opportunity to come now. Sadly, the next verse in Jeremiah tells us:

16 But now I will send for many fishermen,” declares the Lord, “and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill and from the crevices of the rocks…”

We have seen seasons of Fishermen gently calling the Jewish people to leave their country and go home to Israel. Many have aided in physical, financial, a psychological ways to encourage this Aliyah. Many years ago there was a season of ‘Hunters’ in Europe. Those who first tried to push the Jewish people out. Then murdered them instead. There was an open door at the beginning to leave, but it all seemed too unreal and the signs of the times were not correctly read nor heeded. 6 million did not understand what was very obvious and they died simply because they were Jewish.

The rise in anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel is a warning to us that we are entering another time of the Hunters. There has been a long season for Jewish people to return to the State of Israel in peace and joy (since 1948). Many have come and made wonderful lives for themselves. Most have not. Most have assimilated into their birth country and have not turned their hearts toward Home. Many say that if things get bad, then they will go to Israel. The Question is: why wait? And by making Israel a second choice, a back-up plan, they are disdaining the great covenant gift that God has given them.

It is time for the Jewish people to come home. Come today before it gets worse. Wake-up and understand that it IS going to get worse. These are the birth pangs of Messiah. The ingathering of the Jewish people is a sign of the times and a preparation for His return.

If you are Jewish, don’t wait any longer. Come now while you can come with ease and with joy. If you wait, you will be forced out and will be running for your lives.

If you are Gentile, prepare to fulfill God’s mandate for you to carry His people home on your shoulders. Aiding and assisting in whatever ways are needed to help the Jewish people home.
